KOLEGEA
The KOLEGEA project aims at developing and evaluating a concept for professional training as well as a web 2.0 based support system for cooperative learning in professional social networks of medical practitioners in further education. It focuses especially on young practitioners in further education in general medicine. The professional training includes medical activities and processes in diverse and separately located medical institutes and practices. Furthermore, a lack of connectedness of the institutes and practices challenges cooperative learning in peer communities.
To overcome those structural deficits, a Web2.0 based platform will be developed to provide instruments of cooperative generating, structuring and visualizing knowledge artifacts and connecting those artifacts with professional medical contents. All services will be integrated into a Web2.0 further education platform in the starting regions Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
By those means, effectiveness and attraction of further education for general medicine will be increased to furthermore decrease the shortage of general practitioners, as well as improve medical care in suburb and economically underdeveloped areas.
